Euregioticket Mass Rhein – Validity
The Euregioticket Mass Rhein is valid on all regional trains and regional buses within the Maas-Rhine Euroregion. This includes the areas around Aachen (Germany), Liège (Belgium), and Maastricht (Netherlands) – the region’s largest cities and most popular tourist destinations.
In Germany, the ticket is valid on all regional trains (Regional-Express, RegionalBahn, and S-Bahn) and bus lines operated by Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV), as well as in the Euskirchen district.
In Belgium, the ticket allows travel on all SNCB trains between the stations Hasselt, Liège, Maastricht, and Aachen, and all buses in the provinces of Limburg (De Lijn) and Liège (TEC).
In the Netherlands, the ticket is valid on all trains and buses (NS and Arriva) in South Limburg (as far as Roermond).
On weekdays, the ticket is valid for one person.
On weekends and public holidays, it can be used by groups of up to two adults and three children under the age of 12.
The ticket is not valid on Eurostar, ICE, Thalys, or Nightjet trains.
Valid only in second class.

What to Visit with the Euregioticket Mass Rhein
The ticket provides access to many attractions in the border region between Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Aachen is the best base for accommodation, offering relatively inexpensive lodging near the main train station.
Aachen (Germany) – a city located at the tripoint of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Highlights: Aachen Cathedral, inspired by San Vitale in Ravenna; includes the Cathedral Treasury (notably the Lothar Cross, c. 1000). Town Hall (1330), Elisenbrunnen (classical spa fountain, 1822–1827). Surviving city gates: Ponttor and Marschiertor. Museums: International Newspaper Museum, Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum (fine arts), and Couven Museum (restored 17th-century bourgeois interior).
Verviers (Belgium) – A Belgian city of 55,000 residents. Historic town center. Wool and Fashion Tourist Centre, located in a former factory.
Liège (Belgium) – architecturally average but notable for Liège-Guillemins Station (modern architecture), Citadel with panoramic views, historic churches (St. Denis, St. Martin, St. Lambert Cathedral). There are some interesting museums: Wallonia Public Transport Museum, Archéoforum, Museum of Walloon Life, and Le Grand Curtius (local history).

Spa (Belgium) – a well-known health resort town with Belgium’s only funicular railway, offering views over the town. The town is renowned since medieval times for its healing waters (legend of a blind woman cured by the spring). Most important monuments: Le Pouhon Pierre-le-Grand (octagonal spring pavilion), casino, St. Remaclus Church, Grand Hotel. Also known for hosting the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Hasselt (Belgium) – a nice medium-sized city (75,000 residents) located along the Demer River and Albert Canal. Notable sites: St. Quentin Cathedral (13th century), National Jenever Museum, City Museum, Old and New Town Halls. There also more tourist attractions, among others largest Japanese garden in Europe, historic buildings in the center, and Old Cemetery (Oud Kerkhof).
