Warszawa Gdanska train station is a railway station in northern Warsaw. It primarily serves local and regional trains but due to enginerring works and modernization of the railway lines in Warsaw many long-distance and international trains terminate here. The station has an interesting history. The current station building was built in the mid 80s, after previous building was destroyed by fire in 1984.
The station is located approximately 4 kilometers from the city centre but is well-connected with downtown by metro. Metro station “Warszawa Gdanska” is located next to the train station. There are bus and tram stops in front of the station.
The station building is neglected. There is no waiting room, only benches in main hall. Renovation is urgently needed.
THe station has 5 platforms. Access to the platforms via tunnel (escalators) or footbridge (lifts). Platforms are partially covered.
