Train from Luxembourg to Liege

Train from Luxembourg to Liege is an international train operated by SNCB-NMCS. It’s not a fastest train but you can travel from Luxembourg to Liege and continue your journey from Liege for example to Maastricht in Netherlands, Aachen in Germany by regional trains or to Frankfurt am Main in Germany by ICE train.

It is a Intercity train.

Usually there are two types of train from Luxembourg to Liege:

a) train hauled by a electric locomotive comprised of refurbished carriages with six-seats compartments.
b) new electric multiple unit with open coaches.

You can choose between 1st and 2nd class.

Ticket prices start from 10 EUR (2nd class) or 25 EUR (1st class) but in fact are much expensive.

Trains run every hour from 6am to 6pm from Monday to Friday. There are fewer trains on weekends and holidays.

Additional information:

– when travelling in 2nd class, you will pay only for the Belgian part of the journey.
– 30% discount for return journey in the same weekend
– 30% discount for passengers aged over 65
– 30% discount for passengers aged under 25
– children under 12 travel free of charge if they are accompanied by an adult of 18 or over

Trains start from Liège-Guillemins and stop at following stations:

Belgium:

Angleur, Esneux, Poulseur, Rivage, Aywaille, Coo, Trois-Ponts, Vielsalm, Gouvy

Luxembourg: 

Troisvierges, Clervaux, Drauffelt, Wilwerwiltz, Kautenbach, Michelau, Ettelbruck, Mersch, Pfaffenthal – Kirchberg
