Narvik train station

Narvik train station is the northernmost station in the Norway and the northernmost standard-gauge railway station in the world. The station was opened in 1902 along with Ofotbanen and the Iron Ore Line. Currently, railway station in Narvik serves an overnight train Stockholm – Narvik, a daytime train Lulea – Narvik and the Narvik -Bjørnfjell train. There is no train to Tromsø.

Railway station in Narvik is located in the city center. Ferry terminal is situated 150 meters from the station, bus station about one kilometer away. The nearest bus stop is 150 meters from the station. There are buses from Narvik to Tromsø – journey time is approximately four hours.

Trains to Narvik are operated by Vy Sveden. Due to engineering works trains are often delayed or replaced by buses on part of the route.

Platforms are not covered. There is a direct entrance from station building to the platforms.
