Heritage train from Břeclav to Lednice is a seasonal train for tourists in southern Moravia. The train is served by historic diesel railcar Hurvínek (M 131.1) manufactured in 50’s. The train with wooden benches and without air-conditioning passes through local railway line to the popular tourist destination Lednice. There are no scheduled trains on the route during year. The train usually runs from May to September three times a day on weekends and public holidays. The journey lasts about half an hour. There is a beautiful train station in Lednice. Sometimes on the route run also steam trains.
There is a possibility to travel with bike and dog (you need to pay a supplement).
During rest of the year there are no direct trains to Lednice, but there are many buses from Valtice on the route from Břeclav to Znojmo.

Lednice
Lednice is a small town and one of the most famous historic and tourist destinations in Moravia. Crowds of tourists arrive to visit Lednice Château, a spectacular Neo-Gothic/Tudor Revival château, extensively rebuilt by the Liechtensteins in the 19th century and the enormous English-style landscape park contains lakes, canals, forests and numerous architectural monuments. The château complex includes a large historic palm house with exotic plants. Another tourist attraction is the 60-metre-high Minaret is one of the landscape’s best-known landmarks. Visitors can climb the tower for views over the surrounding countryside.
Several kilometres from the château stands John’s Castle, a romantic artificial ruin known in Czech as Janův hrad.
Lednice is part of the Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996.
