Euregio2Plus Ticket – a passenger’s guide

There are many trains between Austria and Italy — long-distance trains, regional trains, and local trains serving the border areas. In 2020, the Euregio2Plus day network ticket was introduced, valid on regional trains in the Austrian regions of Tyrol and South Tyrol, and the Italian region of Trentino.

Euregio2Plus Ticket – key facts

The Euregio2Plus Ticket is a one-day network ticket. It is valid in second class on regional trains within South Tyrol and Trentino.

The ticket allows two adults and up to three children under the age of 15 to travel together. Like many regional tickets in Germany and Austria, it is relatively expensive for a solo traveler, but offers excellent value for families and small groups.

Group members do not need to be related.

The ticket is valid from 00:00 to 24:00 on the calendar day of travel.

The ticket is not valid on Eurocity (EC), Intercity (ÖBB-IC or IC), Railjet, FA (Frecciaargento), Westbahn, or other long-distance trains and on bike-carrying trains between Innichen/San Candido and Lienz.

The ticket is not valid on funiculars or cable cars except those explicitly listed below.
