For several years, Slovakia has been introducing integrated tickets for public transportation, regional buses, and regional trains in several regions. The integrated transport system (Integrovaný dopravný systém BK) works exceptionally well in the Bratislava region. Passengers can travel from their place of residence to work by train and then continue, for example, by tram, using a single monthly ticket.
24-Hour Network Tickets for Tourists
For tourists, 24-hour network tickets are available. This is a very convenient option, as integrated transport systems are divided into fare zones. Understanding how the ticket price is calculated and which ticket to buy when a train or bus passes through more than two zones can be very difficult for tourists visiting the Bratislava region for the first time.
The 24-hour network ticket allows travel within the Bratislava region and part of the Trnava region.
Tickets are available in both paper and electronic form (purchased via a mobile app). Tickets bought via the app are cheaper.
24-Hour Ticket Prices as of June 2025:
Paper ticket – €8.30
Electronic ticket – €7.60
Paper tickets must be validated before the first journey.
Tourists planning to travel only within Bratislava can purchase tickets valid in zones 100+101 for 24, 72, or 168 hours.

Important Notes for Travelers:
Holders of the 24-hour network ticket can, for example, travel by train from Bratislava to Trnava and back, but they must be careful which R (fast) train they use, as the ticket is not valid on all of them. Trains, especially during peak hours, are often overcrowded.
