Bratislava Petrzalka train station

Bratislava Petrzalka train station is located at Petržalka, the largest housing estate in Slovakia. It is not a large station but is important because currently serves regional cross-border trains from Bratislava to Vienna. The station was opened in 1897. It was rebuild in 1990s. Cross-border train service to Wienna started in 1999. The station serves also cross-border trains to Rajka, Hungary.

The station is located far from the Bratislava main station. There is a bus stop in front of the station. Bus line no. 80 connects the station with the city center and no. 93 (it is necessary to use station’s underpass to get to the stop of no. 93) connects the station with Bratislava main railway station. There is a ticket vending machine for city public transport.

The station is generally clean and well-maintained.

Access to the platforms via tunnel. The station is equipped with lifts and escalators (often out of use). Platforms are covered.

Nearby accomodation facilities are very expensive.
