The Baku – Tbilisi train was reinstated on 26 May 2026. It’s an overnight train comprised with modern, air-conditioned carriages manufactured by Stadler. The comfortable carriages are equipped with showers and vacuum toilets. The train runs daily and it’s very popular among citizens of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Currently, the train is available only for citizens of countries with free-visa entry to Azerbaijan but it may change in the nearest future.
The carriages have also designated places for wheelchairs users.

Ticket prices are quite expensive and depend on class of carriage. For example:
Baku – Tbilisi Komfort 81 AZN/41 EUR
Baku – Tbilisi Komfort+ 117 AZN/59 EUR
Baku – Tbilisi Lux 180 AZN/91 EUR
Azerbaijan Railways informed, that in the future the prices may be lower.
The baby stroller that folds to items that can be taken for free is also included. Passengers who fully booked the Comfort+ coupe can also carry strollers in the open.
