Warszawa Zachodnia train station is one of the most busiest railway stations in Warsaw (Warsaw West in English). The station is located far from the city centre (4 km) but is important for tourists, because is connected with international bus station. It It serves trains operated by PKP Intercity, Polregio, Koleje Mazowieckie, Szybka Kolej Miejska and Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa as well as international trains passing through Warsaw. The station is undergoing an extensive modernization. The station building was renovated, but reconstruction of the platforms is ongoing.
The station has 9 platforms, but due to reconstruction there are problems with lifts and access to the platforms to disabled people and passengers with heavy luggage.
It is highly recommend to avoid this station until the end of works.
